What makes specialization credible?

My unpopular view: a narrow sector label is not an edge. The edge starts when it changes which companies you pass on, and what evidence would change your mind.

At Succedia Ventures, I'm focused on healthspan intelligence infrastructure. I want founders to leave with a clearer question, even when the answer is no.

Why different perspectives belong in the room

My investment focus is healthspan intelligence infrastructure. But I deliberately bring people together from different industries, because the best lessons about healthcare companies sometimes come from software, global expansion or family capital.

And because the relationships worth having rarely begin with a transaction.

Three questions behind a healthcare investment

For LPs evaluating a healthcare fund manager, I’d ask:

  • What evidence shows that customers renew and expand their use?
  • What customer access or workflow capability would a strategic buyer gain?
  • Does the investment case still work with a lower exit multiple and a longer holding period?

Those questions connect an industry thesis to the discipline of underwriting a business.
